To ensure a smooth and effective rollout of the AI Act and provide the legal certainty needed to scale up trustworthy and innovative AI across Europe, the European Commission has introduced two key initiatives: the AI Act Service Desk and the AI Act Single Information Platform.
The Single Information Platform, established under the AI Act, serves as a central hub where stakeholders can easily access all relevant information, explore the regulation’s content, and receive tailored guidance on compliance and implementation.
In addition to general resources, FAQs, and materials shared by Member States, the platform offers several interactive digital tools:
- Compliance Checker – helps users assess whether they are subject to the AI Act and understand their compliance obligations.
- AI Act Explorer – enables users to intuitively browse chapters, annexes, and recitals of the regulation.
- Online Query Form – allows stakeholders to submit specific questions directly to the AI Act Service Desk, a team of experts working closely with the AI Office.
The AI Act, which entered into force on 1 August 2024, establishes a single market with harmonised rules for trustworthy AI in the EU. Its goal is to foster innovation and adoption while managing potential risks to health, safety, and fundamental rights and upholding democracy and the rule of law.
The Commission remains committed to ensuring the successful implementation of the AI Act, which will be applied progressively until its full enforcement by 2 August 2027.
