The call aims to accelerate the deployment of trustworthy European technologies that can detect, prevent and respond to cyber incidents at scale, ensuring that public authorities, businesses and essential service providers are equipped for the next generation of digital risks.

What the call is about

  • Supports the development and deployment of AI-driven cybersecurity tools, technologies and services to strengthen Europe’s cyber-defence capabilities.
  • Targets use cases such as threat detection, incident response, threat intelligence, vulnerability analysis, malware detection, network monitoring, and secure integration of AI in cyber operations.
  • Promotes trustworthy, robust, and compliant AI solutions, ensuring adherence to relevant EU legislation (e.g., data protection, security standards).
  • Seeks to support Cyber Hubs, CSIRTs, NCSCs, NIS-2 actors, public authorities and critical infrastructure operators — enabling secure use of AI tools for large-scale and cross-border cyber-defence.
  • Provides funding: the call has an overall budget of €15 million, with individual projects eligible for €3–5 million under a simple grant instrument.

Who is eligible to apply

  • Organisations from EU Member States or EEA countries including public bodies, cybersecurity agencies, research organisations, private companies, critical-infrastructure operators, or consortia thereof.
  • Entities capable of developing, deploying or integrating AI-based cybersecurity solutions, with capacity to comply with EU regulatory and security requirements.
