Western Balkans Info Hub Newsletter Enters a New Phase with POLICY ENLARGE Support

We are pleased to announce an exciting new chapter for the Western Balkans Info Hub Newsletter. Over the next three years, our publication will continue and expand thanks to the support of the POLICY ENLARGE project, marking a significant step forward in both scope and ambition.

Since its inception within the Western Balkans Info Hub, the newsletter has aimed to provide clear, relevant and up-to-date information on research and innovation (R&I) developments across the Western Balkans. Building on this foundation, we are now broadening our perspective to reflect the evolving landscape of European cooperation.

In its renewed format, the newsletter will continue to focus on research, innovation, education and related policy fields, while expanding its geographical coverage to include four additional EU enlargement countries. (Georgia, Moldova, Türkyie, Ukraine). This development will allow us to offer a more comprehensive overview of trends, opportunities and collaborations shaping the wider European Research Area.

Over the coming three years, the newsletter will be published quarterly, with enriched content designed to better serve our growing community of readers. Subscribers can expect deeper insights, curated news, funding opportunities, policy updates and highlights of key events—alongside new features that reflect emerging priorities in the green and digital transitions, as well as regional cooperation.

This evolution builds on the achievements and legacy of previous initiatives, including the POLICY ANSWERS project, which helped establish the Info Hub as a trusted source of information and a platform for dialogue among stakeholders across the region.

As editors, we see this expansion not only as a continuation, but as an opportunity to strengthen connections between researchers, policymakers, innovators and institutions—supporting knowledge exchange and fostering closer integration with European research and innovation frameworks.

We warmly invite both our long-standing readers and new audiences to join us in this next phase. By subscribing to the Western Balkans Info Hub Newsletter, you will stay informed about key developments, discover new opportunities, and be part of a growing network dedicated to advancing research and innovation across Europe’s enlargement region.
