AI Factory Network

The AI Factory Network is a Europe-wide initiative launched by the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking in 2025 to expand access to advanced artificial intelligence infrastructure and expertise. It consists of large central AI Factories equipped with high-performance computing resources, specialised accelerators, data infrastructure, and expert staff, complemented by a distributed set of national and regional AI Factory Antennas. These Antennas act as local hubs that support training, research, and innovation while providing institutions, businesses, and public administrations with structured access to Europe’s broader HPC and AI ecosystem.

The goal of the network is to reduce disparities in AI readiness across Europe and strengthen the continent’s overall research and innovation capacity. By connecting countries and institutions that lack large-scale AI infrastructure to shared European resources, the network supports scientific discovery, industrial competitiveness, and public-sector digital transformation. It also reinforces Europe’s strategic autonomy by ensuring that advanced AI development is built on European infrastructure, standards, and governance principles.
