Bosnia and Herzegovina Showcases National Supercomputing Initiatives at CMBEBIH 2025

The National Competence Centre (NCC) in Bosnia and Herzegovina hosted a series of strategic EuroCC activities during the international conference CMBEBIH 2025, held from 11 to 13 September in Sarajevo. As part of the event, NCC BiH presented the national implementation and impact of the EuroCC project, showcasing use cases, stakeholder engagement and ongoing capacity-building efforts in the country’s HPC and digital-transformation ecosystem.

The conference featured the first major EuroCC session organised in Bosnia and Herzegovina, bringing together representatives from National Competence Centres to exchange best practices, share success stories and demonstrate how HPC is enabling innovation across different sectors. In cooperation with EuroCC4SEE partners, NCC BiH also delivered a hands-on SME workshop focused on practical applications of HPC and AI in industry, with particular relevance for health technology and data-driven innovation.

The conference included an Oncology Hackathon aimed at fostering digital and AI-based solutions for cancer care, attracting multidisciplinary teams of clinicians, developers and data scientists. These activities marked a significant milestone for regional collaboration and innovation, strengthening Bosnia and Herzegovina’s role within the EuroCC network.
