AI Collective Skopje has officially launched, placing North Macedonia on the global map of communities dedicated to the ethical, innovative and responsible application of artificial intelligence. The new community brings together engineers, researchers, entrepreneurs, academics, creatives and leaders from both the private and public sectors. Its mission is to foster an environment for learning, knowledge exchange and the development of practical solutions in the field of AI technologies.
As part of the global AI Collective network, which includes more than 100,000 members across over 50 cities worldwide, the Skopje chapter aims to serve as a regional centre of knowledge, ethics, innovation and collective responsibility.
The local chapter is led by a multidisciplinary team of professionals representing various industries, including technology, education, research, human resources, marketing, law and business innovation. The team was established to reflect the broad societal impact of artificial intelligence, which is increasingly shaping sectors ranging from science and the economy to culture, communications and the public sector.
During the opening event, organisers presented the vision for the chapter’s development, emphasising that AI Collective Skopje will serve as a platform where technology, people and innovation converge to support a more sustainable and forward-looking future.
The programme also featured an international keynote session focused on global AI trends, innovation and entrepreneurship, offering inspiration and guidance for the local ecosystem.
