Training on Integrating Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education

The training “Integration of Artificial Intelligence in Teaching and Learning in Kosovo’s Higher Education System” was successfully conducted at the Faculty of Economics as part of the project “Integrating Artificial Intelligence in Teaching and Learning in Kosovo’s Higher Education System”, funded by the United States Embassy in Pristina and implemented by Kosovo* United States Alumni (KUSA).

The training equipped participants with essential knowledge and skills for incorporating artificial intelligence into university teaching. The sessions focused on:

  • Understanding how artificial intelligence functions and how tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude can serve as personal assistants for educators.
  • Applying prompting techniques (CRAFT model) to design interactive and student-centered learning activities.
  • Reflecting on the use of AI in assessment and addressing ethical dilemmas related to its application in education.

Participants were also introduced to practical digital tools, including Padlet for collaborative idea sharing, NotebookLM for summarizing and reflecting on learning materials, and Gamma for designing visually engaging presentations. These tools highlighted how artificial intelligence can enhance creativity, productivity, and innovation in the teaching process.

The active engagement, creativity, and critical thinking demonstrated by academic staff showcased the transformative potential of AI in modern higher education.

This training marks another step toward building a future-ready education system in which artificial intelligence serves as a valuable ally for both teachers and students.
