Serbia Joins EU4Health Programme from January 2026

Serbia will officially join the EU4Health programme as of 1 January 2026, enabling national stakeholders to access one of the European Union’s key funding instruments in the field of public health. From that date, organisations in Serbia will be eligible to apply for EU4Health funding through open calls, direct grants, and joint actions.

Participation in EU4Health will open new opportunities to strengthen public health preparedness and resilience, support health innovation and the development of health technologies, promote healthy lifestyles and disease prevention, and enhance structured cooperation with EU partners across priority health areas.

EU4Health also contributes to the Strategic Technologies for Europe (STEP) initiative. Projects aligned with STEP objectives may be awarded the STEP Seal, increasing their visibility and facilitating access to additional funding sources beyond the programme itself.

Serbia’s inclusion in EU4Health marks an important step in its integration into EU health programmes and provides a strong framework for stakeholders to develop competitive projects that address national and European health priorities.
