UMT is a public higher education institution of Health and Medical Sciences. It is one of the most important universities in Albania.The study programmes are divided in three academic levels Bachelor, Master of Sciences/Professional, Integrated Master of Sciences and Doctoral degrees. Also offers programmes of speciality studies for medical practice at the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Dental Medicine. It conducts scientific research in medical and public health.
