The Tirana SEECP Chairmanship-in-Office will contribute to the further strengthening of regional cooperation, increasing collaboration on the implementation of the Common Regional Market goals, and accelerating the European Integration Process. Fostering overall cooperation within the SEECP platform will help address the recent challenges facing the region.
Additionally, will emphasise the importance of security cooperation, aiming to improve the region’s contribution to global peace and stability. Albania reaffirms its commitment to enhancing the rule of law, promoting religious tolerance, and protecting human rights, gender equality, and security.
In terms of economic growth, the C-i-O will prioritise economic convergence and the full implementation of the Common Regional Market goals to progress towards the EU Single Market. Health cooperation will also be a focus, with Albania’s strategy based on solidarity, universality, and reducing inequalities.
Furthermore, the Tirana C-i-O will promote regional tourism and cultural cooperation, presenting Tirana as a cultural hub in 2025. Efforts to enhance transport and interconnectivity will continue, including the promotion of Green and Blue Lanes initiatives and the establishment of one-stop border controls.
