Mr. Arsim Ademi, Deputy Minister of MESTI, and Ms. Anne Haglund-Morrissey, Deputy Head of Unit for International Cooperation (Americas and Europe), DG Research and Innovation, co-chaired the meeting.

The key topics discussed included Kosovo’s participation in Horizon Europe, measures to stimulate further involvement, and the implementation of reforms related to research and innovation. Additionally, the committee explored opportunities for enhanced collaboration, cooperation with the Joint Research Centre, and Kosovo’s positioning in the European Innovation Scoreboard.

The Western Balkans Info Hub / POLICY ANSWERS project had the possibility to introduce its progress under “any other business” and provided insights into the capacity building measures led by our partner RIINVEST, the participation of Kosovar young scientists in the pilot WB Mobility Programme, the currently open call on regional innovation vouchers and the ministerial meeting facilitated just a few days before.
