FabLab Named First Official EIT Urban Mobility Hub in Bosnia and Herzegovina

FabLab announces its appointment as the official national representative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) Urban Mobility for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, and Slovenia for the 2025–2029 period. This landmark achievement, in collaboration with lead partner Invento Capital Partners, places FabLab at the forefront of Europe’s largest innovation ecosystem dedicated to transforming urban mobility.

As the first EIT Urban Mobility Hub in Bosnia and Herzegovina, FabLab will connect startups, universities, researchers, and young innovators across the region with cutting-edge opportunities, funding, and expertise in sustainable urban transport.

FabLab’s core mission is to accelerate people-focused mobility solutions that are accessible, inclusive, and sustainable. Leveraging agile prototyping methodologies, the team plans to lead local pilot projects and community-driven innovations that convert visionary ideas into practical mobility applications.

The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) is an EU body fostering innovation across the continent through Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs). EIT Urban Mobility is one such community, focused on creating greener, smarter, and more efficient transport systems in Europe’s cities.

Through this partnership, FabLab B&H will act as a regional bridge, bringing European expertise, networks, and support closer to the Western Balkans.
