Horizon Europe Info Day at Urban Research Institute in Tirana

On 18 April, the Urban Research Institute in Tirana hosted a Horizon Europe Info Day, aimed at enhancing local capacities to access EU research and innovation funding. The training was organised by the National Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation (NASRI) as part of its ongoing efforts to support Albanian institutions in engaging with Horizon Europe.

The session was led by NASRI representatives Robert Dumi and Imirjon Peza, and was attended by Fiorda Llukmani from the Centre for Social Innovation (ZSI), who is currently based at NASRI in Tirana through her POLICY ANSWERS fellowship.

Participants received hands-on guidance on how to navigate the Horizon Europe programme, with a focus on proposal development, consortium building, and aligning national research priorities with European funding instruments.

The event marks a step forward in strengthening Albania’s integration into the European Research Area and fostering a more connected research community in the Western Balkans.
