The 4th Workshop “NANOTECH SCIENCE MEETS INDUSTRY: Building Collaborations” takes place on 10 June 2025, in Prishtina, Kosovo, as part of the NANOBALKAN 2025 initiative.
The event brings together leading scientists, industry representatives, and innovators from across the Balkans and Europe to foster collaboration, showcase cutting-edge advancements, and drive impactful partnerships in the field of nanotechnology.
The event is organised by NANOBALKAN (Academy of Sciences of Albania, Academy of Sciences of Kosovo), SUSNANO (University of Tirana), NANOKOS (University of Prishtina), ICN2 (Spain), and CATRIN (Czech Republic).
The workshop is designed to facilitate collaboration between academic researchers and industry representatives in the field of nanotechnology. The program includes presentations from academic groups, industry representatives, and research teams, covering topics such as nanotechnology applications in health, environment, energy, and advanced materials. There will also be opportunities for networking and discussion on integrating regional efforts with European research and innovation initiatives.
Following the workshop, two additional events are scheduled:
On June 11, 2025, the Ignite Projects Follow-Up Workshop presents progress and challenges related to NANOBALKAN research projects, with a focus on implementation, results, and potential collaborations.
On June 12, 2025, the 2nd NANOBALKAN Open Days provide in-situ visits to laboratories and research groups at the University of Prishtina and the Institute of Public Health, allowing participants to learn about ongoing research activities and explore possibilities for future cooperation.
