POLICY ANSWERS Workshop on Horizon Europe Projects at the University of Banja Luka

At the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Banja Luka, on 25–26 September 2025, a two-day workshop was held on the topic of applying for and managing Horizon Europe projects.

On the first day, participants had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the structure of the Horizon Europe programme, ways of identifying suitable calls, and approaches to formulating project ideas. Through practical interactive exercises and concrete examples, they were trained in writing the key sections of a project proposal.

On the second day, participants were introduced to the main stages of project management, including signing the grant agreement, regular reporting, organising meetings, monitoring the implementation of planned activities, and applying corrective measures.

The main objectives of the workshop were achieved: acquiring the skills necessary for the successful application and implementation of Horizon Europe projects, with a particular emphasis on research projects.

Around 40 researchers from 16 organisational units of the University of Banja Luka, all strongly motivated to take part in scientific research projects, completed the two-day workshop.

The workshop was led by Prof. Dr Goran Stojanović, Full Professor at the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad.

The workshop was held within the framework of the international project Policy Answers – Implementation and Support for Policy Design in the Field of Research and Innovation in the Western Balkans (POLICY ANSWERS).
