General Objectives:
- Presentation of international projects, project ideas, networks, and financing opportunities;
- Discussion on challenges and future questions;
- Strengthening and further developing of cultural diversity in the Danube Region;
- Networking, exchange, discussion, and face to face encounters;
Main Topics:
Regenerative Cultural Tourism
To achieve broad-based change, as many Danube-Region-actors as possible must actively participate in shaping the new approach, the new sustainability in various areas – and across generations – to be able to identify with it. Particularly innovative approaches and pilot projects for a new kind of sustainable/regenerative cultural tourism in the Danube Region will be presented and discussed.
Ecology in Arts and Culture
The contribution of art and culture to the 2030 Agenda is a cross-sectional matter. Art and culture in all their traditional and innovative, as well as in material and immaterial forms are omnipresent and contribute to the economic, social and ecological goals of the SDGs. The aim is to shed light on the synergy between the cultural sector and the implementation of the SDGs.
Culture Tourism and Art for Kids, Youth, and Families
Showcasing innovative institutions and concepts from the Danube Region as role models for better leisure and educational opportunities for this target group. The KinderKunstLabor St. Pölten is a new exhibition house for contemporary art that thinks interdisciplinary, both for and with a young audience.
EUSDR Financial Resources
The EUSDR Culture and Tourism Priority Area (PA3) presents its significant flagship project and plans for the future. In particular, the results of the low-threshold Danube Small Project Fund program, which is specially tailored “for small project initiators”, show the positive impact such initiatives can have on the entire Danube Region.
