Bosnian-Herzegovinian American Academy of Arts and Sciences (BHAAAS), founded in Charlotte, North Carolina, in 2007, is a voluntary, non-profit, non-governmental, non-partisan, multi-ethnic, and multi-cultural organisation whose purposes are educational, scientific, and charitable. Its members are gathered under the mission of advancement and development of arts and sciences among the Bosnian-Herzegovinian Diaspora in the United States and Canada. BHAAAS also aims to provide connections between Bosnian-Herzegovinian scientists, artists, and professionals in North America and build bridges of cooperation with Bosnia and Herzegovina in the spirit of intellectual diversity, free exchange of ideas, and the belief that knowledge is shareable wealth. Within this framework, BHAAAS has for over a decade organized a conference titled Days of BHAAAS, held in a different location in Bosnia and Herzegovina each year.
BHAAAS’ main goal is connecting experts and professionals of Bosnian-Herzegovinian Diaspora with their counterparts from Bosnia and Herzegovina and other countries. BHAAAS has been dedicated to bringing top experts of Bosnian-Herzegovinian origin who work at prestigious institutions in the U.S., Canada, and elsewhere, and providing them with the opportunity to share their knowledge and expertise with colleagues and students in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Days of BHAAAS has over the years grown into one of the largest scientific conferences in the Balkans, with hundreds of participants attending lectures in dozens of parallel sessions. The organisers hope to set a new record this year, both in the number of presenters and participants, and hope that you will be able to join the event in either capacity.
