National Agency for Research and Development (NARD)

The National Agency for Research and Development (NARD) is the central public institution in the Republic of Moldova responsible for promoting and coordinating national research and development activities. NARD has
developed extensive expertise in the design and management of competitive funding calls, project evaluation, and EU-funded programme implementation across multiple scientific disciplines. Serving as the national
coordinator of the Horizon Europe NCP network, NARD occupies a strategic position at the intersection of Moldovan science policy and European R&I integration, supporting researchers and institutions in accessing EU
programmes and aligning with ERA priorities. Its work directly contributes to Moldova’s sustainable development goals and its European integration path. In POLICY ENLARGE, NARD leads national capacity building
activities and contributes to the project’s policy dialogue pillar.
