Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TUBITAK)

The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TUBITAK) is the principal public body responsible for promoting, developing, organising, and coordinating research and development in Türkiye, and serves
as the main advisory institution to the Turkish Government on scientific and technological matters. TUBITAK supports innovation and R&D across academia and industry, develops national science and technology policy,
manages public research institutes, funds university and private-sector research projects, and promotes scientific culture through publications, journals, and public outreach. It also provides graduate scholarships
and has served as Türkiye’s national coordination office for the European Framework Programmes since 2002. This long-standing engagement with European R&I frameworks makes TUBITAK a key anchor for Türkiye’s
integration into the European Research Area. In POLICY ENLARGE, TUBITAK leads Task 2.2 (policy dialogue) and Task 4.9 (national capacity building in Türkiye).
