A high-level discussion on the future of European research and innovation policy will take place under the title “The Road to FP10: European Innovation Act and European Research Area”, organised by Crowdhelix.
The event will explore key legislative and strategic developments shaping the next EU Framework Programme (FP10), as well as the proposed European Innovation Act and ongoing reforms within the European Research Area (ERA).
As Horizon Europe enters its final implementation phase, discussions on FP10 are intensifying in the Council and the European Parliament. The European Innovation Act is expected to strengthen the commercialisation of research results and improve industry–academia collaboration, while the ERA reform agenda addresses structural barriers in research careers and infrastructure development.
For stakeholders across the Western Balkans engaged in EU research programmes, these debates are particularly relevant. The direction of FP10 will shape future participation opportunities, funding structures and integration pathways into the European Research Area.
