European Innovation Council Summit 2026

3 - 5 June 2026

The EIC Summit 2026, the fifth edition of the European Innovation Council’s flagship event, will take place on 3-4 June 2026 at the Tour & Taxis venue in Brussels, bringing together around 2500 participants from across Europe’s deep tech innovation ecosystem. Designed as “Europe’s prime event where deep tech meets policy”, the summit convenes EIC‑funded innovators, investors, corporates, researchers and policymakers to discuss how to strengthen Europe’s competitiveness, scale breakthrough technologies and mobilise greater private investment.

Day 1 (Wednesday, 3 June) starts with exclusive workshops reserved for EIC beneficiaries, focusing on topics such as scaling strategies, investment readiness, technology transfer and other key challenges faced by high‑growth deep tech companies. In the afternoon, the programme opens up to all participants on the Leaders’ stage, offering a high‑level kick‑off and thematic sessions with leading voices from startups, science, business, finance and EU institutions, complemented by rich networking opportunities and an exhibition area showcasing cutting‑edge EIC projects.

Across the two days, the EIC Summit will feature speeches and panels with the Commissioner for Startups, Research and Innovation Ekaterina Zaharieva, other members of the European Commission’s College, Nobel Prize laureates, corporate and finance leaders, founders of successful EIC‑backed companies and senior figures from the research and innovation community. The agenda is structured to spark debate on how Europe can better support the journey from lab to market, address regulatory and financing bottlenecks for deep tech and align EU‑level instruments such as the EIC Work Programme 2026 with the needs of innovators on the ground.

Beyond the main stage, the summit emphasises hands‑on engagement and community building, with curated matchmaking, informal networking spaces and an exhibition that allows visitors to discover tangible results of EIC support across sectors from climate and energy to health, digital and advanced materials. Participation is open to a broad audience, and interested stakeholders are encouraged to follow the EIC’s X and LinkedIn channels and the EIC Showcase page for registration details, practical information and programme updates.
