The online workshop “Danube Region Towards Framework Programme 10 – The path to the next MFF and Horizon Europe: Lessons learned and outlook for the Danube Region research community” takes place on 10 June 2026, 9:30–12:30 CET.
Hosted by Priority Area 7 (Knowledge Society) of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region, the event focuses on how the region can strengthen its position in the future European research and innovation landscape.

The workshop will:

  • present the current state of play of Danube countries’ participation in the European Research Area and Horizon Europe
  • showcase experiences and recommendations from Danube countries in accessing EU research and innovation funding and strengthening collaboration
  • provide insights into preparation of the next MFF, including research and innovation priorities, macro-regional aspects, and possible impacts on advisory and training systems

By bringing together policymakers, programme managers, researchers and other stakeholders, the event aims to support dialogue, peer learning and networking across the Danube research community.
