The 23rd edition of the International Youth Conference “European Values for the Future of the SEE Region” will take place from 25–29 September 2025. This year’s gathering will bring together the most active young people from 16 countries, creating a platform for dialogue and cooperation on shaping the European future of the region.
Since its establishment, the conference has been a forum for tracking progress and evaluating achievements in youth empowerment, democracy-building, human rights, and sustainable development in South East Europe. In addition to fostering regional cooperation, this year’s edition will also address pressing issues such as youth unemployment, political disillusionment, and digital transformation—while reflecting on how far the region has come and identifying concrete steps needed to accelerate action.
Application Process
A total of 58 participants from SEE countries (North Macedonia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Kosovo, Montenegro, Italy, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, and Turkey) will be selected to take part. Guest participants from partner youth organisations in Germany, France, and Poland will join as mentors, bringing valuable experience from successful reconciliation processes.
Selected participants will benefit from a scholarship, covering accommodation, meals, and 80% of travel costs. Applicants who are not awarded a scholarship may still participate on a self-funded basis. All essential details will be communicated directly by email.
Who Is Eligible for a Scholarship?
Applicants must:
- Be aged 18–35 at the time of the conference
- Demonstrate commitment to delivering positive change in the SEE region
- Show interest in the EU integration process of the region
- Be addressing key local and/or regional issues in their work
- Hold citizenship of one of the participating countries

Applications should be submitted through the online form. The call for participants is open until 8 September 2025 at 23:59 CET. Applicants will receive a response shortly after the call closes.
