The Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Banja Luka is organizing a training program titled “How to Successfully Prepare and Implement Horizon Europe Projects.”
The training, open to all employees of the University of Banja Luka, will be held at the Faculty of Philosophy premises over two working days:
- Wednesday, November 27, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 3:15 PM
- Thursday, November 28, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Participants are not to choose one of the dates; instead, different phases of project proposal preparation and project implementation will be covered across the two days.
Horizon Europe is the world’s largest open funding program for research and innovation. Institutions from Bosnia and Herzegovina, including those in the Republic of Srpska, can apply equally alongside all other European institutions for funding under this program.
Training Agenda:
Day 1:
The first day will focus on presenting open calls and opportunities for organizations from the academic sector, companies, non-governmental, and governmental organizations to apply for funding for innovative research segments. Methods for generating ideas for project proposals will also be demonstrated. The proposal writing template will be explained in detail, covering its three main sections: Excellence, Impact, and Implementation. Lastly, participants will learn how evaluators assess the quality and relevance of submitted projects.
Day 2:
The second day will cover all steps from the approval of the evaluators’ report to submitting the final project report. The process of contract signing (Grant Agreement) will be explained, and project activities will be outlined chronologically, from organizing the consortium’s first meeting (Kick-off meeting) through report submissions, to project closure. Tools and methods to facilitate project implementation will also be presented. The final segment will focus on ensuring project sustainability after its formal conclusion.
Trainer:
The trainer for this event, organized as part of the international project “POLICY ANSWERS R&I POLICY making, implementation ANd Support in the WEsteRn BalkanS”, in which the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Banja Luka is a consortium member, is Dr. Goran Stojanović, Full Professor at the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad.

The training is free of charge, and certificates of participation will be awarded upon completion.
