Sarajevo Theatre Showcase (STS) has announced an open call for its 2026 Showcase programme, taking place from 11 to 13 September 2026 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
STS is a curated regional platform that presents contemporary theatre productions from Southeast Europe to international audiences; including festival directors, artistic directors, producers, curators, and cultural decision-makers. The Showcase is part of the international project New Theatre Market (NTM), co-funded by the Creative Europe Culture Programme of the European Union.
Who can apply?
Applications are open to professional theatre productions from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Slovenia. Eligible applicants include public theatres, independent companies, production houses, collectives, and co-productions. Productions must have premiered between January 2025 and 5 April 2026.
Special attention will be given to works addressing contemporary social, feminist, gender, and political issues, introducing new generational perspectives, and demonstrating formal or aesthetic innovation.
