European Researchers’ Night engages audiences of all ages across Europe

The European Researchers’ Night is back on 26 September 2025. Last year, on 27 September 2024, the European Researchers’ Night was celebrated across the continent. It welcomed over 1.5 million people of all ages into museums, universities and research institutions in 455 cities across 25 countries.

Attendees have the chance to immerse themselves in the world of science by participating in games, discussions, experiments and various other activities, while engaging with researchers in their cities.

The European Researchers’ Night

  • brings research and researchers closer to the public, attracting over 1.5 million visitors across Europe and beyond each year
  • promotes excellent research projects across Europe and beyond
  • increases the interest of young people in science and research careers
  • shows how researchers’ work affects our daily lives
